Description

Jane Wooldridge is an award-winning travel, business, and arts multimedia journalist. A veteran of the Miami Herald, she has led initiatives melding art, real estate, tourism, economy, and leisure travel, among others.

Since 2001, she has driven the Miami Herald’s coverage of Art Basel Miami Beach. In the process, she has chronicled the city’s rise from a cultural unknown to a powerhouse center for visual and performing arts. She has visited and written about museums and visual arts communities around the globe. 

In 2021, Jane was named to the newly created role of Senior Director for Journalism Sustainability and Partnerships. In this community-focused role, she works with civic, arts, and business organizations and foundations to create strategic partnerships supporting public service journalism amid a fast-fluctuating media landscape.

Prior to her current role, she served as the Miami Herald’s Business Editor, responsible for business and arts coverage in print, online, multimedia, and at live events. Her teams have won multiple journalism awards, including Best in Business in the Association of Business Journalists and the Esserman-Knight Award for service.

Previously, she was the Miami Herald’s Travel Editor, winning top honors as both an editor and journalist. Between personal and business travel, Jane has visited more than 100 countries and contributed to national magazines and books. She is a past president of the Society of American Travel Writers and a past winner of the prestigious Lowell Thomas Travel Journalist of the Year Award.

A popular speaker, she has addressed and moderated sessions for various civic organizations and Fortune 500 companies.  Her forthcoming travel book, Luxury in the Wild, will publish in fall 2025.
